About Amsterdam Animal Health Fair

Amsterdam Animal Health Fair is a pet and animal trade show expected to take place May 24, 2027 at RAI Amsterdam in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is a one-day event on a Monday. With more than 7 months to go, there is time to plan the booth, the budget and the meetings properly.

Shows like this one typically draw pet retailers, distributors, groomers, veterinarians, breeders and pet product buyers. We have not been able to confirm an official website for this show yet, so contact the organizer before making any plans.

What to expect at Amsterdam Animal Health Fair

Pet industry shows are product-focused and friendly, with buyers looking for new products, margins and reliable supply. Some include public days with pet owners.

With a single day on the floor, every hour counts: arrive early, keep breaks short and in shifts so the booth is never empty, and book any important meetings before the doors open. Expect most visitors to be pet retailers and their colleagues, often with a short list of suppliers they want to see.

Confirm freight arrived, share the staffing schedule, charge every device, and test your lead capture app with Wi-Fi turned off.

Preparation tips for pet and animal shows

• Know wholesale prices, margins and minimum orders.
• Bring samples and clear ingredient or material information.
• Check rules on live animals and food sampling at the venue.

Booth tips for Amsterdam Animal Health Fair

• Show the product in use with photos or demos.
• Ask what type of store or business the buyer runs.
• Have show-only offers ready for retailers.
• Walk the hall at RAI Amsterdam during move-in to see which entrances and aisles carry the most traffic, and set up your booth so it faces that flow.
• Give every person on the booth a clear role (greeting, demos, qualifying) so nobody waits for someone else to start a conversation.
• If you expect local buyers in Netherlands, bring key material in the local language as well as English, and have prices ready in the local currency.
• Capture every conversation the moment it ends: scan the badge or card, add a one-line note about what the visitor needs, and rate the lead hot, warm or cold. Notes written that evening are already half forgotten.
