About ECS 2027

ECS 2027 is an environmental industry event expected to take place August 26, 2027 at Centro de Convenciones de Costa Rica in San Jose, Costa Rica. It is a one-day event on a Thursday. With more than 10 months to go, there is time to plan the booth, the budget and the meetings properly.

Shows like this one typically draw sustainability managers, municipal and utility officials, engineers, waste and water professionals and consultants. We have not been able to confirm an official website for this show yet, so contact the organizer before making any plans.

What to expect at ECS 2027

Environmental shows bring together public sector buyers, engineers and suppliers of water, waste, air and recycling solutions. Visitors want measurable results and proof of compliance with regulations.

With a single day on the floor, every hour counts: arrive early, keep breaks short and in shifts so the booth is never empty, and book any important meetings before the doors open. Expect most visitors to be sustainability managers and their colleagues, often with a short list of suppliers they want to see.

How exhibitors should prepare for ECS 2027

Here is a working timeline counted back from the opening day, August 26, 2027 (expected date, so adjust once it is confirmed):

1. 16 weeks before (May 6, 2027)
Confirm your booth space and read the exhibitor manual. Book hotels near Centro de Convenciones de Costa Rica while rates are still normal.
2. 8 weeks before (Jul 1, 2027)
Order booth services (power, internet, furniture, cleaning) before the early-rate deadlines, and send graphics to print.
3. 4 weeks before (Jul 29, 2027)
Ship freight to the advance warehouse if the organizer offers one. Book meetings with the visitors you most want to see. Set up lead capture and train the team on it.
4. One week before (Aug 19, 2027)
Confirm freight arrived, share the staffing schedule, charge every device, and test your lead capture app with Wi-Fi turned off.

Preparation tips for environmental shows

• Prepare measured results: emissions reduced, water saved, waste diverted.
• Know the regulations driving demand in the show's region.
• Bring references from public sector or industrial customers.

Booth tips for ECS 2027

• Show data and before-and-after results clearly.
• Ask about the visitor's regulatory deadlines and budgets.
• Have material ready for public tenders and procurement processes.
• Walk the hall at Centro de Convenciones de Costa Rica during move-in to see which entrances and aisles carry the most traffic, and set up your booth so it faces that flow.
• Give every person on the booth a clear role (greeting, demos, qualifying) so nobody waits for someone else to start a conversation.
• If you expect local buyers in Costa Rica, bring key material in the local language as well as English, and have prices ready in the local currency.
• Capture every conversation the moment it ends: scan the badge or card, add a one-line note about what the visitor needs, and rate the lead hot, warm or cold. Notes written that evening are already half forgotten.

Following up leads after ECS 2027

Most of the value of a trade show is created after it closes. Public buyers often work through tenders, so keep follow-up formal and document-based.

1. Within 24 hours (by Aug 27, 2027)
Send a short personal email to every hot lead. Mention one detail from your conversation so they remember you.
2. By Aug 29, 2027
Send everything you promised at the booth: prices, samples, demo links. Log each lead in your CRM with its rating and notes.
3. By Sep 9, 2027
Make a second, useful touch: a case study, a short video or an answer to the question they asked. Warm leads often reply to this one.
4. By Sep 25, 2027
Review results: how many leads became meetings, what each lead cost, and whether ECS 2027 is worth returning to.

Ready-to-edit messages for each step are in our trade show follow-up email templates.
