About Smart Building Networking Congress

Smart Building Networking Congress is a real estate conference expected to take place March 27, 2027 at Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) in Bilbao, Spain. It is a one-day event on a Saturday. With more than 5 months to go, there is time to plan the booth, the budget and the meetings properly.

Shows like this one typically draw developers, investors, brokers, property managers, city officials and real estate service providers. We have not been able to confirm an official website for this show yet, so contact the organizer before making any plans.

What to expect at Smart Building Networking Congress

Real estate events focus on deals and relationships. Expect investor meetings, city and project pavilions, and networking events that matter as much as the exhibit floor.

With a single day on the floor, every hour counts: arrive early, keep breaks short and in shifts so the booth is never empty, and book any important meetings before the doors open. Expect most visitors to be developers and their colleagues, often with a short list of suppliers they want to see.

How exhibitors should prepare for Smart Building Networking Congress

Here is a working timeline counted back from the opening day, March 27, 2027 (expected date, so adjust once it is confirmed):

1. 16 weeks before (Dec 5, 2026)
Confirm your booth space and read the exhibitor manual. Book hotels near Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) while rates are still normal.
2. 8 weeks before (Jan 30, 2027)
Order booth services (power, internet, furniture, cleaning) before the early-rate deadlines, and send graphics to print.
3. 4 weeks before (Feb 27, 2027)
Ship freight to the advance warehouse if the organizer offers one. Book meetings with the visitors you most want to see. Set up lead capture and train the team on it.
4. One week before (Mar 20, 2027)
Confirm freight arrived, share the staffing schedule, charge every device, and test your lead capture app with Wi-Fi turned off.

Preparation tips for real estate shows

• Prepare project summaries with key numbers.
• Book meetings with investors and partners in advance.
• Plan your evening networking schedule as carefully as the booth.

Booth tips for Smart Building Networking Congress

• Show projects visually with maps, renderings and key figures.
• Ask about investment criteria or project needs.
• Keep a seated area for confidential conversations.
• Walk the hall at Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) during move-in to see which entrances and aisles carry the most traffic, and set up your booth so it faces that flow.
• Give every person on the booth a clear role (greeting, demos, qualifying) so nobody waits for someone else to start a conversation.
• If you expect local buyers in Spain, bring key material in the local language as well as English, and have prices ready in the local currency.
• Capture every conversation the moment it ends: scan the badge or card, add a one-line note about what the visitor needs, and rate the lead hot, warm or cold. Notes written that evening are already half forgotten.

Following up leads after Smart Building Networking Congress

Most of the value of a trade show is created after it closes. Follow up with tailored project information and propose a specific meeting.

1. Within 24 hours (by Mar 28, 2027)
Send a short personal email to every hot lead. Mention one detail from your conversation so they remember you.
2. By Mar 30, 2027
Send everything you promised at the booth: prices, samples, demo links. Log each lead in your CRM with its rating and notes.
3. By Apr 10, 2027
Make a second, useful touch: a case study, a short video or an answer to the question they asked. Warm leads often reply to this one.
4. By Apr 26, 2027
Review results: how many leads became meetings, what each lead cost, and whether Smart Building Networking Congress is worth returning to.

Ready-to-edit messages for each step are in our trade show follow-up email templates.
