About The International Animal Health Show

The International Animal Health Show is a pet and animal trade show taking place November 10–11, 2026 at Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in Cape Town, South Africa. It runs for two days, opening on Tuesday and closing on Wednesday. That is only 30 days away, so most planning deadlines have already passed; focus on travel, staffing and lead capture.

Shows like this one typically draw pet retailers, distributors, groomers, veterinarians, breeders and pet product buyers. We have not been able to confirm an official website for this show yet, so contact the organizer before making any plans.

What to expect at The International Animal Health Show

Pet industry shows are product-focused and friendly, with buyers looking for new products, margins and reliable supply. Some include public days with pet owners.

Two days go by quickly. Book your most important meetings for the first morning, when visitors are fresh, and keep the second afternoon for follow-up conversations at the booth. Expect most visitors to be pet retailers and their colleagues, often with a short list of suppliers they want to see.

Preparation tips for pet and animal shows

• Know wholesale prices, margins and minimum orders.
• Bring samples and clear ingredient or material information.
• Check rules on live animals and food sampling at the venue.

Booth tips for The International Animal Health Show

• Show the product in use with photos or demos.
• Ask what type of store or business the buyer runs.
• Have show-only offers ready for retailers.
• Walk the hall at Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) during move-in to see which entrances and aisles carry the most traffic, and set up your booth so it faces that flow.
• Give every person on the booth a clear role (greeting, demos, qualifying) so nobody waits for someone else to start a conversation.
• If you expect local buyers in South Africa, bring key material in the local language as well as English, and have prices ready in the local currency.
• Capture every conversation the moment it ends: scan the badge or card, add a one-line note about what the visitor needs, and rate the lead hot, warm or cold. Notes written that evening are already half forgotten.
