What to expect at NECANN New York Cannabis & Hemp Convention 2027

Agriculture shows are practical and often seasonal, with large outdoor displays, machinery and livestock or crop sections. Visitors are direct, value proof in the field, and often travel long distances to attend.

Two days go by quickly. Book your most important meetings for the first morning, when visitors are fresh, and keep the second afternoon for follow-up conversations at the booth. Expect most visitors to be farmers and their colleagues, often with a short list of suppliers they want to see.

Preparation tips for agriculture shows

• Plan outdoor display needs, weather protection and machinery transport early.
• Bring field results, yield data or customer stories from farms similar to the visitors'.
• Know your dealer network and service coverage by region.

Booth tips for NECANN New York Cannabis & Hemp Convention 2027

• Talk results first: yield, cost per acre or hours saved.
• Ask about farm size, crops or livestock to qualify quickly.
• Have shade, water and seating; long show days outdoors are tiring for visitors and staff.
• Walk the hall at Albany Capital Center during move-in to see which entrances and aisles carry the most traffic, and set up your booth so it faces that flow.
• Give every person on the booth a clear role (greeting, demos, qualifying) so nobody waits for someone else to start a conversation.
• Capture every conversation the moment it ends: scan the badge or card, add a one-line note about what the visitor needs, and rate the lead hot, warm or cold. Notes written that evening are already half forgotten.
